I just don't see why they would go through all the trouble of doing that for a release that, likely, will only sell a few thousand copies. We'll find out soon, I suppose.

Here is a link showing both items for July release.

I have never heard about any complaints about the original release, that’s why I hope they are wrong about the remix and that it’s the soundtrack to the DVD taken from an earlier night.

Hmm, quite interesting! Thanks for the link.

I'm OK with the Clearmountain mix, so I won't be purchasing this either way, but am curious to see if this is, in fact, a new mix.

I think the reason is streaming.
I was checking Spotify and every one of their live releases has stream totals of 15million and above. If we say that Apple Music probably does the same again and add a few more in for the smaller sites we're seeing quite a lot of income there. (£3000 per million streams is a rough estimate). These may not make amazing amounts of money individually but all together they created a decent revenue stream.

"Quite why a new mix has been created is not clear, but at least the choice is available."

Maybe they lowered Billy in the mix, just a hair or two. :D

Gawd, the live Stones discography is a mess.

I just want nice stand alone vinyl issues at a reasonable price, nice and straightforward. None of this boxset blah blah blah DVD/BluRay stuff etc at over the top prices.

I’m in for the box set, is that Japan only or worldwide? Can’t wait to see the track list for CD3

I just wish the vinyl was packaged with blu-ray instead of DVD. They shouldn't even be making DVD's anymore.

Pretty sure DVDs still outsell Blu-Ray.
Personally I've had issues with Blu-Ray and prefer DVDs. The picture quality on a 1990 show will only be so good anyhow.

To each their own. But I wish you had the option. The audio is better on the BR's, and I honestly find the upscaled picture to be better as well, even if it's obviously not HD. Granted I've maybe owned 20 in my entire life, but I've never had any problems with them (including ripping them to my media server and extracting the audio, even if it's a slightly longer process)

I have had excellent quality bootleg DVD and CD's of this show and while I am not a big fan of the 1989/90 tours, as I think the performances are a little stiff, I really love this show and look forward to getting an official video and audio.

I just hope they give us the full shows and don't cut out the guest stars that played on the show.

I hope they restore the 3D section to modern 3D technology. I still have a tape of the Atlantic City pay per view...and the glasses.

Any updates on Atlantic City 89? Can’t find a pre order, surely it must be pushed back due to GHS Deluxe coming out on 9/4

Yes, they were right about GHS recently, for instance.

The 3D was just Video overlays, it wasn’t 3D of the band per se as I remember. I still liked it and also have a copy and the glasses still.

Yeah it was just Mick interacting with planets and other objects if remember correctly. Its been ages since i've viewed it. It was fun. It was during 2,000 light years from home.

edit: I guess it has been a while. According to the internet the 3D was during:
    Paint It Black (in 3D)
2000 Light Years From Home (in 3D)
    It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (in 3D)

I came across this Wild Horses performance on iTunes the other night, from an oddball Wild Horses digital single from 2009? Don't see it on youtube but Mick seems to be just perfectly out of his head.

Eventually found out it came from Knebworth '76, which has been mentioned a few times on this thread. Hope we see a release of it.

DVD Extractor...rip the audio and make your own cd’s. It’s fairly easy to do
