I was very serious about home theater for concert videos, hence the center the size of a Buick. You can do both just fine and those would be the speakers I’d choose for the job. The problems that I found with multi channel is the the preamp section. All that circuitry and processing takes away some quality if you get into running reference level source equipment for music. A separate multi channel amp is also a big improvement over most integrated AVR’s.

Wowza. The pair I auditioned didn’t sound at all like that graph suggests but I listened for only
    a couple tracks.

What is going on with Paradigm? I didn’t read all posts but didn’t see an explanation for the odd measurements. Maybe there’s one in there somewhere.

i heard them and they didnt sound horrible but the treble was noticeably edgy. i would bet that certain recordings would exploit the issues in the response and make them sound intolerable.
