I've never had a problem with Amazon UK shipping to me. First time. Like you said, maybe things are changing.

 

It was Australia. But that was because of an issue of tax collection. I think, as you recall, Canada has shipping problems too. Amazon UK seem to be very happy to ship here though....oh wait a minute!

People complain when deals aren't posted, and people complain when deals are posted! Point out any issues with an item by all means, but no need to get personal.

 

On a serious note: the pound has dropped against the dollar this week as the result of the Brexit debacle. Exchange rate sites are showing just over $1.25 to the pound. No guarantee that you will get as good a rate from your credit card company/bank, but now is definitely a good time to consider buying from Amazon UK if you are US based. It has fallen against the Euro and other currencies too, but VAT and shipping rules make it unclear to me which other countries will also see such benefits.

 

That is an excellent suggestion and something that I try to keep aware of...

 

Presumably it's going to cost me more to buy from the US too? I have my eye on the fourth Bowie box that works out about £150 shipped from Amazon US (yesterday) I nearly pulled the trigger but have bought way too much recently....and Chrimbo approaches...

I have only run into this problem recently, but it isn't on all items sold by Amazon.co.uk, just some. Oddly I can find the same item on amazon.de and it will ship to the US while amazon.co.uk says they cannot ship it to the US, so I don't think it's a licensing issue. Who knows what's going on.

I am very sorry. Several items don't ship to Italy, too.

What's puzzling is that the "block" may vary. Items that previously shipped to Italy now can't be bought by me from Amazon UK, and "forbidden" items may become available. Who knows why...
