Sweet....oops sorry T-Rex
This double vinyl LP Elvis seems good for £9!! Yeah it's not official, I know, but the reviews all seem very good. I bought one just to see for myself!

Likely BEST heard on one of these:
Well the reviews seemed OK. It is what it is...
2018 180g vinyl of Burnt Weeny Sandwich by Mothers of Invention. £9.99. I've noticed the occasional Zappa price drop here and there, I picked up the 2018 reissue of Chunga's Revenge for the same price a while back so jumping on this one too.
Mastered either from a CD or from a vinyl LP.
Really? You want to pay to have that?
People do, you don’t, get over it.........
I understand that they do, but the question is why?
Because they want to, same as people buy 5 Beatles Mono boxes on release and keep 4 sealed as back up........you might not agree with it, but it’s a first world problem, there are more important things in the world to question and get upset about.
These PD and live recordings are released because there is a demand for them, personally I tend to steer clear of them but I’m not going to lose any sleep if someone else spends their hard earned cash on them.
You seem to be losing a lot of sleep over there fact that people are calling these out as pointless reformatting from inferior sources.
If you know that and you still want to buy it... Well that's your money and your choice.
But some people don't know that and noting it will save them some money.
I think it's called freedom of choice.
This is a deals thread. It's NOT "the best sound quality deals available to humanity" thread. Some people might find it more attractive to pay £9 for an unofficial 2LP that probably sounds OK to many, rather than £30 for an official one.
Unfortunately this Amazon UK thread has a habit of bringing particularly nasty trolls out of their boxes at regular intervals to shoot down or criticise anything that they disapprove of, while never actually posting any deals themselves.
Those forum members have been requested many times to simply refrain from constant negative comments. It's far more polite to simply move on and refrain from such discussion. That's why we have discussion threads.
Some confusion may stem from the fact there are different types of "good deals". There are those good deals/reductions on genuine and authentic sounding/quality discs and then there is the other type of so called "good deal" which is offered on inferior/substandard/cloned/PD product - and those titles are usually cheap to begin with, making them appear to be a genuine reductions / good deals, when in fact they are anything but.
If a deal isn't for you, just ignore it, no need for repeated condescending posts regurgitating the same tired old statements.
There are very few people on this board who dont know the difference between public domain and official releases.
The subject of PD releases in Europe has been done to death on the board, both in this and the main forum and those who complain about them the most also spread the most misinformation about them.
The level of consternation over calling out these posts of low quality public domain releases suggests to me that perhaps some people have a dog in this race.
Back to the deals?
Maybe someone would care to post one then, hopefully without fear of doing so?
I appreciate you posting here and hope you will continue to do so...
Snap - keep on keeping on. AAA pressing or direct copy from CD, I don't care.
