Always loved this album. I'd rank it 4th best in the H17 catalogue with Dive being among the best they have to offer.

This came out to about $19 on Amazon USA through their Amazon UK shop. Could never really figure that one out! Highly recommend this pressing.

I have the original releases of the S/T, Luxury, and Pleasure Me, but I've never heard this one. Thanks kindly for the recommendation! :tiphat:

Pleasure Me? Was that a Freudian slip of some sort??? :)

Either that or your auto-correct needs adjustment!

It's all good, that just cracked me up!

I need to put an album on, either this one or no-man's "Love You To Bits".

EDIT: no-man won this round. Have been wanting to hear this again for days!

Doves "Some Cities" dropped to 14.99 pounds for the 180 gm white vinyl reissue, about $20 shipped to USA.

'Bigger than America' is still showing at £11.79...and I assume that US buyers save an additional 20% after VAT removal. So is the extra cost all down to shipping?

It is actually "Amazon Global Store UK" through the Amazon site. Not the same as buying directly from Amazon UK.

I just looked at my order. Item price was $12.99 plus $7 shipping so it was $20 total, not $19 as I said upthread. Didn't even look for it on the UK site because I had a gift card which only works on the regular Amazon site.

Still, all things considered, I don't think this RSD release was widely available in America and $20 seemed pretty darned reasonable.

Ah I see. I thought you may might have fallen foul of this forums viglink auto-direct to Amazon US. I lot of people get confused when they click on the UK Amazon link but end up looking at the US version. I believe this forum earns payment for that traffic? I managed to switch this feature off via the viglink site. It wasn't difficult but I've forgotten what you do now! Glad you got a good deal of course. :)

I actually bought it back in May through a regular Amazon search. It shows up from time to time as a purchase option, just like a third party seller.

Ha ha, nah, i'm dangerous, beware, beware:D

I like ambient and shoegaze and seeing the write up mixed it with metal (some even said My Bloody Valentine,) so giving it a try on youtube i was quite impressed. A double album i will more than likely enjoy in the mian for last than £10. For me personally worth a try.

Grabbed the Koss album earlier. Cheers for this. Alas picked up Rory 3cd upon release at full price. Well worth investing in.

Yeah, a more Ambient/'Metally' shoegaze is what came to mind when I was listening to it...
