I checked out the samples and this sounded pretty good. Ten rockin' songs in just over a half hour - what's not to like? For under 6 bucks, certainly worth a shot, so I ordered it - thanks!

I ordered it as well. If I don’t like it so much, a buddy of mine digs that scene. Thanks for the lead!

I didn't realize it but the GIUDA album's USA pressing is on Burger Records whose shop is about 10 miles from where I live. Small world indeed considering the band is from Italy.

Time will tell if this is my taste, as in Saturday!

For a person who is not normally moved by vocalists, I must admit that her voice is very hauntingly beautiful. Lovely arrangements, both harmonies and melodies. Really like the moody style. Kind of a very light Wiccan feel (what is that exquisite Patti Smith song that they used in an amazing Millennium episode?) If she had just a TAD more of a Goth edge, I think I would be in love...

Fantastic album and a beautiful package. You can buy it direct from Numero Group for $22 on vinyl but it is only $10 on CD. WELL worth it at any price!

Happy Rhodes? She sure is. She was retired between 2007-2016 and came back to sing in a Peter Gabriel “appreciation” act I guess? Don’t think she is recording though.

Thanks, I already ordered the copy from the eBay seller who I've bought from before so hopefully no issues. Cheers again for the heads up. Looking forward to hearing this set now!

Happy Rhodes is an amazing artist. Highly recommend the comp posted above.

I'm glad you posted this even though I think you underestimated the demand. This is a really cool album, especially for the price. A keeper indeed!

BTW, does anyone hear a little Judas Priest "You've Got Another Thing Coming" in the riffage from the opening song?

I know that most people here are excited by mp3 deals, and I'm also generally not a fan of downloading lossy music, but when the deal is exceptional and the material is of interest I sometimes give in.

I just looked at my recommendations on Amazon and saw several "complete" album collections priced at $7.99. The only one that I immediately pounced on was the complete Spinners Atlantic albums collection, but I ultimately also picked up the Trammps album collection for the same price. Also available at that price are a couple of late '70s/'80s r&b/disco/funk groups' album collections (Slave and Kleer), Nicolette Larson, Al Jarreau, a few other WEA artists and a hodgepodge of other stuff.
