I think there are some cases where Amazon just files its albums wrong in whichever digital system they use, so you don't have much of a chance of getting the one your ordered.

They probably sell the returns to a vendor who sells discounted merchandise. One of the places around my neck of the woods gets returned LPs every few weeks. I picked up the new Springsteen LP a few weeks ago for $4. A bent corner.

This arrived today. Nice sounding LP (DR13) that was cut by Kevin Gray and pressed at QRP. My first listen to this band...if you like alt country, folk rock and Americana, you should check this one out.

 

Their output has remained consistently good over the years if you dig their sound.

 

My Micky and Mike vinyl arrived today. For the first time, it was sent in just a plastic sleeve envelope. No cardboard. No padding. But I'll be damned if it's not in 100% pristine condition. Not a single bent corner or damage of any kind. Dodged a bullet with that one...

 

Got mine today also, and also in a plastic envelope, but inside it was in one of their cardboard mailers. Glad to hear yours arrive safe as the cardboard mailer and envelope for mine looked like it got dropped a couple of times (the album was still pristine though.)

 

The Moby LP that I posted was sent the same way. Bent corner though. Requested a return and replacement. Second one came packed tightly in a box with an exercise ball that I ordered. No damage. I hope the plastic bag isn't the new way they're going to ship records.

 

Received mine the same way & thankfully it wasn't damaged either.
I don't like the odds though for others.

Count me as someone who received a record in a plastic bag also. My record was from the Amazon warehouse deals, so the damage it had (small split on top of a sealed record) was there beforehand or not. Record was fine so I didn’t fret it. What was weird was I purchased a box of paper record sleeves the same day that arrived a few days before...in a box with tons of packing pillows.

So, this is a find of solo piano/keys music that isn’t quite classical but not quite George Winston/Fresh Aire. It’s just amazing to me that he has only 25 YouTube subscribers with his videos having maybe a few hundred views which is about as far under the radar as you’d find. I call it mellow couch music, but then again, I also say that of Pink Floyd.

That link works. I just finished listening to the album via prime music and it's really good. I ordered a copy, thank you!

 

Guess I lucked out, since mine showed up in a big box. I went for the "good condition w/cosmetic damage" copy that was $13, and it turned out to be a perfect, sealed copy with a slightly bent corner.

 

Missed that one. It's still only $14.94, which is still a good price in the grand scheme of things. Thao is great.

Black Crowes vinyl tends to disappear and then go for crazy prices so wanted to share here.
The Discogs link shows 4 different versions for the Amazon UPC...2 White vinyl from 2019, 1 Black 2019, 1 Black 2009.
The Amazon pictures show White vinyl.
So I'm not really sure which version you'll get but this is a nice price regardless.
