thankfully i was shipped the vinyl set. thrown in a big box so it's a little dinged up but i'm excited to give this one a spin!
I frequently receive the wrong album from Amazon. Sometimes it is something by the same artist or on the same label as what the album I ordered. Other times it can be completely random. On a few occasions it has been a pleasant surprise. Fortunately, they seem to exchange the title when it happens with something shipped from Amazon. Be careful if it is from a third party seller, which can take weeks to process for an exchange or refund.
No lie the week before i got a cd instead of the vinyl i ordered in a giant box , i've never had so many problems with them as i have in the last few weeks 3 wrong items in just 2 weeks
Amazon blows. That little blip that says get it tomorrow if order within 5hrs and 15min. Ya right! I never get it in time and the last time it took a week before it got here even though it shipped out right away. Between Amazon and the shipper, they most of the time never get it right. I wonder if I’m just in a bad spot.
i think youre in a bad spot as i rarely have that issue, and we get a lot of stuff from amazon. In fact, yesterday i ordered a streamer from then at 1pm and it was delivered by 2:15pm
The upside of the promise and fail to deliver tomorrow is that if it goes beyond a day late they will at least sometimes offer you the chance for a refund while keeping the thing you ordered if it gets delivered. Happened to me a couple of weeks ago with the new OJC Miles Davis reissue. The offer was stated by them in the My Order status for the record. Had to do an online chat to get it done but it got done.
Yes they did give me a refund. Then it showed up two days later after a week of waiting. I just got an email saying it shows the item was delivered and they are expecting the item back or I will be charged. This was after getting a refund for it getting lost in transit. So I’m guessing they aren’t doing that anymore.
Was it via a Third Party seller? Because my experience was only a couple of weeks ago. I’m in the middle of a similar situation now though with a Third Party seller who just gave me a refund after about a month waiting for the item so curious to see what happens if I actually ever get it.
Sounds like my recent situation? Ordered the Looney Tunes Blu ray and it stalled at being picked up by their carrier. Amazon said if it showed up I could keep it AND they’d give me a refund. When that deadline came I was given a refund but told if it showed up now I’d have to return it or pay for it. Hasn’t shown up yet and I no longer want it. My refund was applied to my card quickly though
Quick, somebody start a "Problems with Amazon" dedicated thread! Personally I have never received a wrong item and the only time something didn't arrive when promised was through a third party seller. Part of me hates Amazon for what they've done to brick and mortar businesses but another part loves being able to click on something I've been looking for at a good price and have it delivered to my door. (I do always go brick and mortar first) All things considered that behemoth does a good job. Look! It's Blue Note Classic Series Jackie McLean's "Destination Out" for 17 bucks! Amazon.com
