Kind of classy though, right? No flying faecal matter or goofiness.

I guess that TPTB feel that skeletons on the cover is a Dave's Picks tradition by this point.

Reports from reliable sources indicate a decided lack of hygiene along with semi-arboreal shenanigans.

The brown clouds bothered me not. The ghost bass player that was copying Phil's lines an octave lower though? Bummer, man.

Received a replacement for my disc three Vol. 28. Same issue at the same spot. Let It Grow @ the 1:40 mark. This is where it gets really annoying. Rhino's response was they checked all the replacements on multiple players and found no issues. Asked what model cd player I use and will try it on a similar model.????? I told them to go on Deadnet to see all the complaints on faulty replacements. Not just me. Ridiculous.

I can live with that glitch on DaP 28's "Let It Grow" (and another one I have spotted on the third disc). However, I could not live with the second disc skipping of Get Shown the Light box, but that thankfully got rectified with a replacement disc.

Great show on DaP 28 BTW, even though not on the same height as DaP 18 from the next month, especially when comparing the second discs of each. I know only these two 1976 recordings and I wonder whether any of the official releases from that year stand up to this Dave's Picks duo.

Live At The Cow Palace (31 Dec 1976) is a good one. And Dick’s Picks 33 (9 and 10 Oct 1976) is great too.

Road Trips 4.5 (6/9/76) is better than either, IMO

Many here worship Dave’s 18 but although I enjoy it, I’m not thrilled with the distant sound of the drums.

Which, to be sure, is different from the sound of distant drums.

Agree, but IMO the best shows from June have yet to be released! IE: 6/14, 6/15, 6/26, 6/29

I'm in the same boat. Just got my second replacement disc a few days ago thinking all will be good now...and boom...the same issue at 1:40 into Let It Grow as the original and the first replacement disc. I'm now going to be asking for my fourth copy of this cd in hopes that they can finally get it right. In 35 years of purchasing about 7,000 cds I've never had anything like this happen to me before. I've only had a very small number of discs that ever had issues and the times where that happened the replacement disc always rectified the issue. I agree that this is ridiculous.

Is that about 2/3s of the way through High Time? Mine won't play or rip from then on whereas Let It Grow seems OK. I requested a replacement. I look forward to receiving a disc on which the Let It Grow is unplayable instead.

No, it was definitely earlier and it sounded a bit like a tape getting jammed for a second.

Wow. So maybe there are three different problems with disc 3. I checked mine again - I get the same issue at the same place when trying to play it on multiple players and in the computer.

Finally received my replacement copy (that's the whole 3cd digipak I never received in the first place) today. Not sure if I'll laugh or cry if it has the same glitch everyone's been complaining about.

I saw CA license plate "BSU1983" on the 405 near Long Beach earlier this week. Could have been a tribute to DaP27, but I'm guessing no.
