I very much doubt that. The other '89 box didn't sell and Charlie Miller put out great sounding versions of the Alpine run last year. Highly recommended. The sound and mixes of those ultramatrix's (SDB/AUD) are quite fantastic.

As a vet of the Fox runs and the Alpine Valley shows, would get behind Fox 72, and - failing that - perhaps Alpine 89, or earlier. Alpine shows were consistently great thoughout the decade.

That 5 show Palladium run seems like a good contender for yet another Spring 77 box, perhaps when the other wells have run dry.

It's the Grateful Dead, if you feel you really need it, someone will help you get it.

Meanwhile I was listening to 6-4-76 last night, I can't understand why 76 doesn't have a better reputation. Slipknot! was more like Playing in the Band, a long jam with various movements.

Totally agree although they already released one show from the run (and I believe with some filler from another night). That's one of those annoying situations where if they hadn't it likely would be no question as a Box Set. Yet now in limbo as one. Time will tell!

From what I've heard, the 9/16/90 tape is from the P.A. mix and Vince was at a low volume onstage, so he was turned up in the P.A. and too loud on the tape as a result. Not sure if there is a board recording from a different mix.

Great month. Unfortunately about half the shows are missing from the vault (2/15, maybe 2/17, 2/19 first set, most of 2/24). If they get any of those shows back I think they would be high priority to release.

Yes, so I’ve heard. At least they were not in the vault as of a decade ago. They do exist *somewhere* though and here’s hoping they’ll be returned someday or at a minimum a well done hi-res transfer will make it’s way to Lemieux and Norman.

In the Download series right? Hopefully they don't consider that the final version.

Really hope any Download series shows don't preclude eventual CD release.

These are the same people who consider something they gave out for free (Bonus Discs) to be off limits for re-release, so who knows?

Speaking of Bonus Discs......This one is a killer! Jammed it just last night. More '77 is never enough!!

That's the bonus disc that broke the rules - rereleased as part of the first May 77 box.

And not a day before. Nothing wrong with those shows but a box set? Not worthy

Forgive me if mentioned already. My SBD of 2/26/77 has cut at around 7 min. on Sugaree. I hope 29 fixes that. What a great show! Phil is a monster and Keith is not only awake but killing it everywhere. Everyone firing on all cylinders.

I predict we'll see an 80s show this year, although I think the chances are less than 50 percent. If that makes any sense.
I could listen to Unbroken Chain three times in a row. I might have to do that during the World Series just to prove it to myself.

Re Blood - don’t listen to the NPR preview or you may well rethink this.

Does a Fall ‘79 show count as an 80’s show?
