Maybe I missed something, but am loving this refresher course on musical theory/structure/tunings. I get removing the frets, but why remove the tuners? How do you tune it?

Mine arrived earlier today and the first disc for the first show never made it to the slot as it was still sealed. The others seem to be in place but I haven't checked them out yet. My number is 00129.

I didn't remove any frets (and would never de-fret anything; just buy a fretless). It's a Godin Glissentar, which is an 11-string fretless guitar that resembles an oud (five double courses and a single low E string for bass counterpoint). I removed the doubled strings (they were all nylon or metal-wrapped nylon), replaced the remaining strings with metal jazz flats and removed the five tuners associated with the five strings I removed. So I turned an 11-string fretless guitar into a 6-string fretless guitar. I can manage intonation with 6 strings, but 11 is a bit much of an ask.

My box arrived today, I took it out of the shipping box. I'm saving the grand opening until Friday afternoon after work when I can relax into a 4-day weekend listening to these great shows.

I have not but glad some of us stragglers are getting them. Was seriously considering ordering a second box just to see if it would get here sooner than my initial order but will hold off. Funny thing is I pulled the trigger on this set immediately the day it was announced so and I'd be surprised if I wasn't one of the first 500 to order (of course no way of knowing for sure). Is just odd on how they process these. You'd think either FIFO or furthest from warehouse first to give those orders a head start.

Oh well, I've complained enough...Going back to DP28 which is mighty fine!

I'm usually patient but now I'm getting irritated - I ordered it the day it went on sale, and people who ordered in the last few days are already getting it while I don't even have a shipping notice. It does look like a nice set.

It did say less than 1000 available the other day.

Maybe they are just focusing on getting everything out the door before they take more orders?

I'm ticked off because the album is available as of 6/30 on ProStudioMasters and HDtracks. I pre-ordered the download in FLAC from the Dead.net site, but it still says not available until 7/28 and every effort to download it now results in an error message (file not found) AND a strike against the four permitted downloads. I asked for a refund.
