Greatest album cover?

‘Band On The Run’, or maybe ‘Close To The Edge’. Mind you, Roxy’s ‘Stranded’ pretty cool too...

 

When I saw this thread, the first album that popped into my mind was this one:

Tough question.

The various incarnations of metal are the only genres consistently keeping my interest regarding album cover art. Long, rich history of interesting, impressive and appropriate designs.

That said, Rubber Soul and Revolver were the first ones that showed me album covers could even be art.

But for me, I think:

 

Was this style named after the artist? Such a ubiquitous style in the 80s and I never knew what it was called.
