I just can't get into Benefit, or Thick as a Brick, so making a great 3 album run of the early years is difficult for me.

I agree with 2/3 of this. I'd say Bringing It All Back Home - Highway 61 Revisited - Blonde on Blonde.

 

And the Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy. Maybe the best five-album run of all time.

 

Rattle & Hum was between Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.
