Remarkable. The similarities extend far beyond the vocalist channeling Plant. I followed the linked vid to utube and now suspect these guys are just lip synching & air guitaring to a tape of lost outtakes from IV and Houses of the Holy. Smokes. But that doesn't do GVF any sort of justice; they are clearly their own brand....here's an early favourite. I really, really dig their style and sound. This is one of those needle-in-a-modern-music-haystack for me. Thanks OP! Edit: Turns out they're not anywhere near new! 2012? Talk about a best kept secret...
The WKQX bug in corner was an eye opener for me. I remember them as a Chicago station in the 70s that got sussed out for being automated. Mitch Michaels...
Honestly thought Greta Van Fleet was another one of those sultry-voiced young female singers that are ten a penny these days and do breathy covers of old pop songs for adverts. They're a rock band and sound like Led Zep?? I don't know what anything is any more.
