"From Within the Bowels of the Earth" reminds me that it's been awhile since I had real chili (none of that canned stuff).

I'm going to buy this progressive black metal album. It's the melancholic interludes and classic guitar solos that set it apart from the usual straight mayhem. I love the melodic ending as well. Excerpts From a Dread Liturgy, by Drouth Friday from Portland, Oregon
Since I enjoyed Krupinské Ohne so much from earlier this year, I'm going to check out their previous release
I've been listening to a lot of Forgotten Tomb lately. Still have a ton of other stuff to listen to and post reviews of.
A very handsome 250 page tome for £35. I like the format with an excellent choice of large photographs. Mighty tempting! Is Doom OK in this thread? Wasn’t that in the title along with Black and Death at some point? Well, recently I have found myself addicted to this song. The riffs, the chorus, the tasty leads. It’s just so catchy! “Barren Grounds” (title track from 2016 EP) by Altar of Oblivion. Pure epic HM/Doom!
I have to say, I can't stop looking at this cover. I just now realized that there is a witch at the top flying off. Mike, don't forget my copy when you order!
So you were staring at, uhm, something else then? Haha Actually there are three witches flying, though. At first I couldn’t quite figure it out. Were they eating goat’s poop (I assume those dots are s..t) with their sticks? But I have come to conclusion that it’s probably candles/torches of some kind and they, the humans, are witches in line for the osculum infame - the kiss of shame! No artist credited, but I’m guessing the cover is only a detail of a larger piece...
Pretty loose rules here. Yes it was all three because I didn't realize there was a dedicated Doom thread. So I changed it. If I wasn't busted I'd send you two copies just to mess you up. Death-Doom Void Rot have an album coming out September eleventh. When I see "Mastered by Damian Herring at Subterranean Watchtower Studios" I'm a bit more excited.
A nice pair (of videos); choose your poison Black or Death. I've always mixed my drinks! Based on the vid and single available track from bandcamp I'm interested in these guys. The Blind Sin Hunter, by KALT VINDUR August 7
I like the close quarters camera work. It suits getting a general mauling. Only Ashes Remain (Death Metal), by SEPULCHRAL CURSE (Finland) July 31
I'm guessing Imperial Triumphant's new album "Alphaville" will be on all the year end lists. Feeling obligated to listen, I try but I just can't get into this George Gershwin on acid, cubist, jazz black metal. I can admire it a lot but I can't headbang to it. I have the wrong expectations I suppose. "We are a band that not only sings about New York City but tries to sound like New York City". The Making of 'Alphaville'
