Unblack meaning Christian. Often enough the lyrics are near indecipherable so who would know if black or unblack by listening alone? For a non-ideologue like myself it makes no difference. Just interested in the music baby.

Pretty good song. Love the weird rhythms around 1:00. Notable that the video has a cushion to the sound while the bandcamp is quite raw. Oct 29 Serpents Ov Old, by Doedsvangr

 

I'm a little late on it, but I absolutely love the Carcass record. Surprised by the lukewarm reviews, if I'm being honest. There are so many ideas packed into these songs and it sounds like Steer is having an absolute blast playing on it.

 

Yep cushioned/ softened predictably. Just curious which was more enjoyable. I'll take the truthier BC.

I like it quite a bit! I think people are comparing it to Surgical Steel and finding it doesn't measure up, but whatever, not many records do. I think it's just as good.

 

Agreed! I think it's just as good, but they were going for a different approach. I'm glad they didn't just try to redo Surgical Steel again. I also would nominate "Eleanor Rigor Mortis" as a song title of the year.

Just finishing the first spin. Dig it. Dumbfounded that it isn't on Metal Archives yet and I had to order straight from the label. Pricey with intl shipping but arrived over packed and quick via FedEx. Worth it. Grrr1/2

Also River of Nihil's upcoming album just got a 9/10 from Metal Injection. Can't wait! Going to have to wait an extra month to get the vinyl version but so be it.
