That's a pretty impressive set, but I would have gladly traded a lot of the extra "stuff" for two DVDs of Pro-Shot concert material (but then again I'm usually not into the non-media "stuff"). My back is aching just thinking about trying to carry that thing in an Amazon box into the house, though.
Looks wicked expensive and I don't want all that stuff. I'm interested in the demos but that's about it.
Wow...hey guys, remember what happened with that Stones vinyl box preorder?...I suggest ordering from Amazon right now, and cancel if it's not this crazy edition. Ironically, it's the same opening price as the Stones set $179.
That’s an insane box set lol. I’m not even a huge GNR fan and I may preorder that Amazon listing just in case it’s for this one because that CAN’T be the right price. Double that, at least.
Guys, remember that the cost of the box set doesn't cover the cost of building the extra room onto your house to store it in.
Holy crap! If that ends up being the edition i preordered for $179... I'm gonna be one happy fan! I love Gn'R, but i really love the Appetite/Lies era. When it felt like they were truly a band of rock n roll outlaws!
They have almost outdone Gene Simmons with this...perfect combo of the Vault and Kissteria, but based on only one album, and without the Kiss dominoes.
Wow! And the video says a usb stick with 192kHz/24bit audio, i hope that’s for *everything* in the box. Preordered.
I'm not so sure this edition we see in the video is the one up for preorder on Amazon. That one says four CDs and this one includes vinyl and appears as if it will run much higher than the current asking price of $180.
Too much fluff! I want the tunes, the b-sides, unreleased tracks and demos. They can stick the pins on their...LOL Really, it's an amazing set but a scaled down version would fit my needs.
Seven 12” vinyl records, original album on two LPs, a b-sides LP, a live LP, a three LP set of studio outtakes (I think). Seven 7” vinyl singles 4 CDs including 49 unreleased tracks 1 bluray with a new surround remix A hardcover book Various trinkets including temp tattoos, guitar picks, a coin, a bandana, pins, concert ticket repros, posters, and flyers A usb stick with 192kHz/24bit audio ...maybe more that I’m forgetting? All inside a giant square box.
Trying to piece together what we can learn about the contents. It mentions 4 CDs, 73 total tracks 49 of them unreleased. AFD would account for 12 of the previously released tracks. That leaves 12 to go: 1. It's So Easy (Live) 2. Whole Lotta Rosie (Live) 3. Knockin' On Heaven's Door (Live) 4. Shadow Of Your Love (b-side) 5. Sweet Child O' Mine (remix/edit) If you include the Live Like A Suicide tracks you get: 6. Reckless Life 7. Nice Boys 8. Move To The City 9. Mama Kin What are the other three? I feel like I'm missing something obvious.
It also mentioned "3LP Sound City N' More 25 unreleased songs from the 1986 Session 2 unreleased tracks from Mike Clink sessions" Unclear if all this is also on the CDs, but I'm inclined to think so.
