Guess this site needs to be hacked more often because now navigation is like a speed demon. Thread pages are just popping up fast and I'm down here in a small central Texas town with 12mbps bandwidth AT&T router.

It was a pretty pathetic attempt at a 'hack' TBH, didn't really amount to anything thankfully.

 

honestly, this is pretty alarming and it would be nice if someone "in the know" could actually address whether what happened this morning could have caused what this poster experienced.

 

Dang! Thanks for sorting all those hack things out. I didn't witness anything nor got any weird messages, just couldn't access the forums after entering the main Forum page.

 

I don't expect that they will publish the full details of what happened, it might put the site at further risk.

Haha. I was trying to visit at work and it said it was blocked. I thought it was blocked by them.

 

That is important, but I can also understand why some sites don't even inform the affected users about it, privately. Word will get around and the site could lose traffic.

 

What kinda numbskull hacks a music forum? Reminds me of the genius who tried vandalising the DR Database....

 

Certainly hope my personal details such as turntable and speaker wire preferences arent hacked!

 

I got the message too so I left the site to do research on other things. I figured it would be resolved & I would return later. All is good now thanks to the Gorts & Admins. Everyone here is continuing on with our great communications & I thank all involved for getting us back on track!

 

Someone didn't like the service they provide, or it was done simply because that someone could. I believe it was the former scenario.

At least the hacker didn't know how to change the word "Beatles" every time it occurs on this forum to "Monkees"!

I thought I had been hacked so I swiftly changed my password. It has been very buggy ever since but it’s probably not my fault, it’s never my fault my wife says.

Not sure if it's been posted or not, but if you use the same password as you do for your SH forums account on any other service, change it immediately to be safe...
