So i removed the black screw from the top plate, but how do i get it off?

Looks like i don't know how to pull this:

    3. Remove the top plate from the cartridge body by pulling the screws off
    4. Remove the two countersunk screws from the top plate.

never mind. just feels a bit not right pulling the top plate hard to get it off.

The top plates on these aren't meant to be removed. Why are you trying to remove it?

If you have a funky tonearm that requires underside mounting that won't work with a regular 2M. You would need a "Verso" version of the 2M or another cart altogether.

I needed to remove it because i needed to use the longer screws. They could only be insert when removing the top plate. But as it's new it was a bit tight and feels vulnerable to pull it but it came loose.

EDIT: listening to Back in Black now.
