I don't think anyone's mentioned The Promised Land by Chuck Berry yet? (oops apart from the last post)

Were you thinking of "On Broadway"? The only form of transportation in "On the Boardwalk" that I can recall is the carousel.

I haven't had time to check out all the unfamiliar songs mentioned in this thread, but there's this snippet of a song I've had stuck in my head for about 10 years at least, and the only line/melody/etc I can remember is "...ing on the backseat of a greyhound bus" and "greyhound bus" has a walkdown bass this going on, like
    grey-hound-bus
    -C---CM9/B--Am

    and that's all I know of it but I swear it's a song, it's a great song.

Wow! Thanks, everyone! And yes, Greyhound stations are ok too! :)

There are several songs here that I'm not familiar with, and am going to have to search them out!

Would love to know what song Aegir was talking about in Post 29.

This is going to be a nice comp! Thanks again.

Does it have to be Greyhound??
