Anyone going to see the new Michael Hutchence: Mystify documentary? I don't think I'll go to the theater for it. Going to see a concert is one thing, but I don't know about paying $15+ for a documentary.

Yeah, no need to put on pants for a documentary. I’m sure it will be streaming at some point, I’m interested in it. Gonna watch the Duran Duran and New Order ones on the Showtime app soon...they seem to run stuff like this (they also had the INXS made-for-TV movie a few years ago, which was significantly better than I was expecting)

  6. I believe it was originally recorded live in stereo for BBC Radio 1. Do radio stations usually record and keep multi-tracks as well?

    Those two were great.

I would love to have live INXS blu ray for isolation time....

There's a 4-minute video on the page that is linked above that details the restoration. Side-by-side clips talking about improvements in resolution, color, dirt clean-up, etc. That is very impressive in itself!

I'm not even a huge fan of INXS (though I enjoy their songs), but this looks fantastic. It all goes back to the decision to film those shows instead of using videotape, without which none of these upgrades would be possible. That came at a considerable cost I'm sure, but it looks amazing.

I watched the Mystify documentary a few days ago. Pretty interesting. I didn't know about Andrew Farriss and (producter) Chris Murphy being so against "Disappear" being on the album X due to Andrew not having wrote it. Pretty wild that it was their biggest hit on the album.

My gripes with it are the fake night color correction at the beginning and the opening titles are weak compared to the original film (they don't even correspond with the band members walking on stage :sigh:) I don't know what they were thinking with that. I'll keep my original dvd as well.

Been on an INXS tear lately and watched a whole show from this tour (Buenos Aires) on YouTube. Looks like they switched up the setlist order almost completely somewhere between April and June. I had just assumed they played the Wembley setlist the entire tour, but most of the dates look like this:

INXS Setlist at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland

    Any ideas why?

A few seconds of research and this was an instant first day purchase for me. I wish they would put more classic live stuff out on Blu-Ray and 4K! There is so much out there that they could remaster but they don't want to get stuck with physical product that does not sell well. Kudos to Eagle Rock for bringing this to us! If you are an INXS fan I urge you to support them and buy a version of this release.
