Must buy for me. Latecomer to Iron Maiden. Saw them for the first time on the BoS tour. Then they came back to my city for LotB and went to that. Now everything they release is essential for me. Honestly never thought that would happen!
Lifelong fan here who must have this on release day. No Blu Ray is a huge disappointment though, given the visual spectacle aspect of the shows.
Apparently the color vinyl is a Walmart exclusive. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Iron-Maiden-Nights-Of-The-Dead-Walmart-Exclusive-Vinyl/499797556
::. Just watched the audio clip uploaded at You Tube, it sounds great! despite being recorded at 'Palacio de los Deportes' that has a copper geometrical figures attached to the dome's structure, that made the sound reverb absolutely AWFUL: I've been there 3 times, first time at the stands, sound quality was 8.5. (Bon Jovi) Second Time GA 9.0-9.5 (Oasis) and third time as far as it can gets and above close to the final rows: 5.0 (The Cure) That building was designed for Sports Events held for the Olympic Games 1968, 20,000 people can pack the venue. Metallica's 'Binge And Pure' CDs were recorded there. Despite efforts to prevent bad sound quality for shows -giant hanging courtains, wood panels, etc, IMO, still just don't know why they still put bands in that place...a great architectural design, but not for today's Rock performances and neither for the volume than Iron Maiden Can produce. But the Sleeve cover is amazing! Metropolitan Cathedral, Pyramids, Pancho Villa's Bandits running in horses, burning crosses, and Eddie wearing a sort of Mariachi Suit makes me want this for Xmas.
Sign of the Cross, from the upcoming #NightsOfTheDead album, is available to stream from today! http://irnmdn.co/sotc
I love that photo of Bruce. Will be skipping the album though. Just too much of the same thing for me and those encores really do need changing up.
I'm still waiting for a proper release of The Book Of Souls concert on dvd or bluray ... though I doubt it will ever get released... I want the Matter Of Life And Death tour too .... This is cool, but these days I kind of want the video to go with it. Perhaps I am on my own, but it is rare that a live album interests me on cd these days.... I want the whole concert to enjoy the whole experience.
Seriously I was just thinking about that the other day. Do you think it’s because it’s Paul and Bruce is in the band? What about the show from the Live + 1 release? Hell I’d be happy if they officially released soundboards like the one from New York on the NOTB tour. I’m looking forward to the new release, I’m in for the CD deluxe edition.
I’m with you. I’m shocked this isn’t getting the DVD or Blu-ray release especially considering the absolute amazing production from this tour. I was lucky to catch a show in Montreal and was blown away by the quality of the show. I really hope Maiden focuses on boxset retro releases.
For sure... I was pretty annoyed that at the 11th hour I was unable to get to Texas to see the show.... I was hoping for a snippet via a video.
I’d have bought a blue ray for sure, but don’t really want the cd. I have every video/dvd release. I wonder why they aren’t releasing them anymore, costs of filing?
