  1. My wife likes so many of these films, save the war ones. Saving Private Ryan gets a very nominal vote of approval from her, as well as Platoon.

    Otherwise, she'll watch anything.

My son & his wife use to alternate picks of what they were going to rent on movie night. She was particularly annoyed with some Transformer type of action movie he rented on his night so she got, what she thought, revenge by renting True Romance on her night. That one backfired.

U-571. A great unsung war movie with McConaughey, Paxton, Keitel,...and Jon Bon-Jovi.

I was going to say Armageddon but not only does it have a love scene it has Ben Affleck in that love scene.
So I go with this one for the win - In the Company of Men

Surely a man's man would know that an Enigma was captured 2 years before that and cracked at Bletchley Park within a year in the chick flick The Imitation Game! ;)

Reportedly, even the one scene with a woman's bejeweled arm visibly hanging out was actually the film's 2nd AD David Tringham in "hand drag". Of course, behind the camera, Anne Coates, did an amazing job cutting it all together. :)

I love the first Rambo movie.
But one thing always bothered me.
Why the lack of a hair cut? (Seems like a guy like him would want to look clean cut)

I once dated a girl who loved "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". Tried turning her on to "The Wild Bunch". She didn't dig it at all. I figure Sam Peckinpah movies would appeal more to guys.
