I've heard this enough, I don't need to hear it again for the rest of my days

For me being in Indiana, it's John Cougar Mellencamps Jack and Diane and Little Pink Houses.

Also there needs to be a ban o. Using the Stones Gimme Shelter in movie or videogame trailers. Great song but getting overplayed.

I could not agree more. It still plays a lot on the radio where I live. The song was ok when it first came out but I have grown to hate it with a passion.

This is an old slogan....KSHE 95 in st louis used it years ago when they tried to shift the focus to newer rock groups. They gave it up fairly quickly when there ratings dropped since a large percentage of their audience was older and wanted to hear the music by the dead guys.

I saw Sir Paul in concert with my son here in Toronto a couple of years ago and really enjoyed (most of) the show. He did very credible versions of Beatles classics, but other than "Band On The Run" and "Here Today" (?), I yawned through the others. You don't need my dissenting voice in the Paul thread - test is purely subjective. Each to his/her own. All opinions are valid.

    EVERYthing by Eagles ..

.. except the tunes Joe Walsh wrote and sang lead vocal ..

I'll add only every song on which the voice of James Taylor, Michael Stipe, Morrisey, or Alanis Morissette can be readily identified ..

.. apart from that, play all the Freebird or Stairway to Heaven you can dish up ..
    I'm good !

Anything in rotation on classic rock radio - especially anything off the Rumours album...which I USED to like until it got played to death.

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

Most Motown. I grew up on the stuff as it was released, but "Good times, great oldies" radio killed it for me.

We love everything about it, but it should take at least a short nap.

I heard Satisfaction yesterday and immediately thought of this thread! Most of these songs need to go away forever!

I was in the supermarket last week and I look over and saw a girl that I was in 7th grade with in 1967. The music being piped in was Love Me Two Times by The Doors. I thought how ironic that we would meet in a supermarket in 53 years and they would be playing the same song we were listening to then!

Don't worry about it. It always happens to the over-hyped.

Rumours really is a terrific LP, and yet I have never had the slightest desire to have a copy of my own because it has been played on the radio without cease going on half a century now.

I have 5 different copies of the Moody Blues Days Of Future Passed. I played my copy from the Netherlands the other day. I couldn't wait for it to finish. I love the Moody Blues but that album really grates on my nerves now.

I've listened to Pet Sounds (the album) so much over the years that now it just does nothing for me.
