Yeah, I enjoy a lot of his work, but when you ask "best film" & take all the factors into consideration that one is head & shoulders above the others. Some may not enjoy it as much, but it's the best film he's done.

I haven't seen enough of his films to choose the best one, but he was good in the 2003 remake of "The Italian Job". Anything with Charlize Theron is worth watching, IMO.

I haven't seen them all or even most of them, but I agree that the two best are

    The Bank Job

Lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels

I don't think he has all that much to do in Snatch or the Italian Job, though those are both decent.

He’s done incredibly well in the past 20 years for an admitted, non actor. Good with one liners and martial arts. Ideal skill for action movies !!!!

True, & that's why I picked The Bank Job, he was actually acting in it & was damned good! Plus he had a great cast surrounding him, an excellent & well written story, & good direction. All that can make a big difference in what he can deliver as well.

Problem with that sorta Galton & Simpson type movie, it doesn’t bring in the groceries. Hence his big budget cgi efforts I guess. Doing not bad for an ex- painter and decorator. :)

Oh he's done some good acting in those types of roles as well. He's got charisma & an easy likability that translates great on screen, & when he stretches out past that it works very well.

If you haven't guessed yet, I am a fan of his!

I'm not saying it's his best, but I like the first Transporter. The first Crank is also cool.

That 1st Transporter was the 1st film of his I saw. On DVD & I loved it. When my wife, (now), & I were in the theater we saw the trailer for Transporter 2 & I was excited. Shana wasn't, but I drug her to it anyway when it came out. From the 1st scene in the parking garage she was hooked & became a fan of his as well.

My tv and movie group was discussing Jason recently. Everyone in the group has a minimum of a bachelors degree from a prestigious North American university, most have masters degrees. PM if you are interested and have the prerequisite education :D.

That's the only one that came to mind for me. I'm not a fan of most of his filmography.

I’m sure you’d like Hummingbird ( redemption). Which is more dialogue oriented.

    Playing a “ baddie” that’s unusual.

  25. Yet another vote for The Bank Job. Too bad he doesn’t make more films like this.
