I am tootull, so the theory goes, but I don't choose the company I keep and it shows. Glad to see you are paying attention. Now I'm using Divinities to pray for Broadsword for you. :p

Love it! I was listening earlier today. That's why I changed my avatar. Avatar is usually what I'm listening to lately.:)

It's amazing, back when CDs were new, they never held back a vinyl release until the CDs were pressed; but holy hell, we can't make today's precious vinyl fans sit and wait while the CD listeners get their product first......

  14. If one of those prospective vinyl buyers decide they can’t wait and buys the CD instead there goes 75% of the profit from selling to that person. Then if they decide they really prefer CD’s and stop buying vinyl altogether the whole house of cards comes falling down.
I think there are other factors at play here though. Also at this point in time I am just glad to see things get a CD release (Grrr….Grits teeth and growls at being reminded of Ryan Adams Return To Carnegie Hall).

hi all, so i have not read or followed this thread in a while... guessing there has been some sort of official announcement and tracklist and release date?
    (on cd that is)
if someone could point me to it, that's be great, thanks

not sure what i'd do- broadsword is an album when it first came out i was very disappointed by, just didn't move me at all. The other songs from the sessions that made the 20th (or was it 25th) anniv set were much better, as I remember... and since i have those sets, wonder what i 'need'- i guess theres a live album too? video maybe?

No official announcement or release date yet but the kindle edition of the latest issue of A New Day Magazine included a small picture of the artwork including the back. Between the available information and what's possible to make out on the pic, the tracklist should be this:

    No video.

Ok, to be clear, we've all heard Rhythm in Gold on the 20th anniversary box set. Did that version come from the Dec 1981 rehearsal session, or are the two different takes?

As they overdubbed the flute in 1988 I suspect that that was the proper studio version.

So I can infer that for all tracks that appear on the Dec 1981 rehearsal session list whose titles we recognize from the 20th Anniversary set, that the boxset used those versions? Calling TooTull....

So if the "12. Beastie (2nd Master)" is a bonus track does it mean that album proper Beastie is 1st master or what?

The rehearsal session is completely unreleased. The versions used on the 20th Anniversary set are the studio takes.
