Oh, and here's the obligatory "complete (so far) collection on the shelf" pic :)

Hopefully it won't be long before we get that mastodontic "The Broadsword and The Beast" boxset they have been tantalizing us with for more than a year now...

So I ordered this release through Amazon.com on June 22, 2022 when it was supposed to be released in October. The release date is now shown as January 20, 2023 in my Amazon Shopping Cart, but I was wondering what the general consensus is on whether they'll actually be able to fulfill said order at that time? I missed out on this release the first time around and don't want to make the same mistake twice. Are there "affordable" options using retailers outside the USA?

The 2022/2023 reissue of the 2012 bookset has the Wilson remix on the CD. The 1997 is the original mix.

If you don't like it for the book or the surround mix, I would stay with the 1997 remaster. I think that is really good.

Presumably the HD release is alwo Wilson's 2015. Anyway it sounds great.

I agree. We should all take a moeowment to paws and reflect on its meaning.

  14. Rhino ,who were going to be the US distributors and are still listed as such by retailers , have removed the Thick As A Brick page from their web site.

Mine shipped the day after I ordered it, so it should be here any day now.

Arrrrggghh….this made me realize that I’m missing the Songs from the Wood set. Not sure how that oversight happened. :shake:

I don't know about you, but my oversight was simply getting my pre-order cancelled like a zillion other people.

Could be as I’ve certainly had that happen more than I would like.

  20. In the last few days JPC have run out of stock on hand although they say they can still get it from their suppliers.
If the Rhino situation works out the way I think it will -and removing the item page from their web site suggests it might - then it will be the Jethro Tull Hunger Games.

I’ve already had the TAAB box for years; all I really wanted was to have a matching spine with the butterfly at the top. May seem silly to most, but I am seriously bummed out about this. The visual aesthetics in my music room really matter to me. I love Tull and have been eagerly awaiting that uniform lineup of butterflies across the top of each spine.

I usually quite like the Steven Wilson remixes but this one I find really bright and fatiguing to listen too.

When and where have you listened to it?

I assume you're refering to the Peter Mew's mastered version of SW remix.

The cd in the new box set. Wasn’t this done by SW?
