Hi everyone, just wanted to spread the word about Joey Molland's kickstarter project. He's 80% of the way to his goal, and it's an all-or-nothing situation so he needs the rest of the money by October 9th. For any fans of Badfinger, I think Joey's solo music is the closest thing we get today. If you're on the fence, look up his previous solo projects, especially After the Pearl (1983) and This Way Up (2001). It's also being produced by Mark Hudson, so it's the highest profile stuff Joey has done in years. I heard some raw tracks and the production is very good.

For just a $25 pledge plus shipping, you can get an autographed copy of the CD when it comes out in December. There are also lots of prizes for higher donations, including a chance to meet and hang out with Joey and/or Mark. If you've pledged but the goal of $35,000 isn't met in the next 12 days, you wont be charged.

Sorry for the shameless promotion, just doing what I can to help this record get made.

Julian Lennon posted on instagram last night that he's in the studio singing on the new Badfinger album (his term). Julian is posed with Joey Molland, and Mark Hudson is also in the photo in the background.

Is Julian in BADFINGER now ?

Looks like he's just a guest artist on the record. But I found it interesting that Julian called it a Badfinger record rather than a Joey Molland solo album. Could this be coming out under the Badfinger name?

Glad to see Joey doing well. Was lucky enough to hang with him after a gig in Tunica in the 90s. Funny as all get out and the closest ill get to ever hang with a Beatle

Had no idea this was going on! Guess this isn't as important as "favorite trumpet solo on a Beatles album". Love Joey, I'm glad to see he reached the goal. Wish I could have contributed!

Hopefully it will see a little wider distribution after all "Kickstarter" Pledges are fulfilled...

Recently Jason Scheff stepped into studio with Joey and Mark to add backing vocals and visited again and did a short interview with Mark Hudson on his recent studio work:

A couple more dates left for 2019 run of shows to celebrate "It Was Fifty Years Ago Today! All Star Tribute To The Beatles White Album" and then Joey and Mark Hudson will be putting finishing touches on the album release...

Kickstarter Update March - April 2020

Sounds like Mixing of the forthcoming album is done, and Mastering and then....

A release in 2020 at some point...also sound like from the sound of things Mark Hudson mentioned a Label is interested in signing Joey upon hearing the songs.

Hopefully no April fools stunt...and good things are planned very soon for all fans!

Hello, all you fabulous Kickstarter album backers!

Apologies for the delay in posting a campaign update.

The world feels like it's on hold, but rest assured, we are working on finishing the album and doing all the things we need to do to fulfill orders.

Because of the COVID-19 crisis, our projected May 2020 release date for the "digital download" has been impacted and pushed back, as well as the anticipated fulfillment dates of the other Kickstarter rewards.

Please be patient as we continue to work on everything and coordinate with all the necessary parties (who have also been impacted) in order to complete things.

Most importantly, we hope you are all well and staying safe during this very unprecedented time.

Thanks again for your patience. The record sounds amazing and we know it will be worth your wait!

    Cheers,

    Joey

Just listened on YouTube. A rather nicely-produced record!! I figured Mark Hudson would be a good man for the job. Joey's best in a long while.
