i was close for something I haven't seen for decades. It all had to do with the silver jacket. Obviously, Townshend was stoned because he showed up too early for the rehearsal and went to the bar to kill time. Someone mentioning a fight was way off. Nothing of the sort. Pete didnt want to wear the jacket or the hat. Simple as that.

Camera misses Pete's closing jump, as usual. Very little of his great stage act was ever caught on camera, but that's another story (O/T).

 

Well, there's not much interaction between them.

Maybe it's just the camera angle, but John looks much shorter than say Pete (or Mick---but Mick is further away, so it's harder to judge).

 

Yes it could be the angle, because even Keith Moon looks taller than John. Moon was an inch shorter.

 

Pete's 6'0 and John's 5'10, so that looks about right.

 

But Moon was 5'9?

 

Yea...it all looks a bit off.

 

Thanks, I didn't realize Pete was 6 feet tall, although the camera angle may be adding to the effect.
