I had a day in Manchester today and managed to get one of the white poster versions of the cover , peeling it off of a billboard, it's big :)

    Limited to how many copies?

ok, overall I hate color on vinyl, white cover looks ugly and even more with the red vinyl, so so I don't know why I should by this. I know now why they decide go for black when comes out.

The black print on white was the original design concept before Peter Savile decided to flip it, so there is some heritage there!

Bought my original copy in 1979, 4 weeks after release from Virgin Records in Manchester and can confirm it is purely black vinyl.

I think it looks great, but refuse to buy this album yet again. Want to donate it to my collection?

My first ever copy of this album. Just wasn't in the mood back in the day. It's a nice textured stock for the cover and I don't mind the deviation from the iconic original. Pressing is fairly quiet (a few minor crackles between tracks), albeit a little thin sounding. But maybe that was the way this minimalist album always sounded?

Got my copy on Thursday just in time for the Listyn KC show on Sunday. Played this back to back with the 2007 reissue. Definitely fuller bass and kick drum sound, without overpowering the vocals or guitar. Nice smooth highs, slightly cleaner than the 2007. Still no information on the cover or inside as to if this is a remaster or just a repress. I didn't see obviously where it was pressed (but I will look at the stamper in more detail later).

    For reference, played back on:

AudioNote TT-2 with ARM-Three and IQIII cartridge
    AudioNote M5 Phono Sig
    AudioNote Ankoru/II Monoblocks
    Klipschhorns

It is a repress using the 2015 stampers.

The worst-sounding reissued record I’ve ever heard. I can’t believe Vince Clarke heard it and gave it the OK.

I just scored a red translucent Tranco pressing signed by Hooky for 85£. Pretty psyched!
