Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I haven't seen it. Immediate pre-order for me.

Two vinyl boxed sets covering King Crimson between 1969 and 1974 are due to hit the shelves in November 2018. They will feature Steven Wilson’s 40th Anniversary Edition stereo mixes - the first time these have appeared on vinyl.

The first set chronicling 1969 - 1972 comes with a special 2LP set of rarities from the period while the second set, covering 1972 - 1974, will include an alt-take version of Larks’ Tongues In Aspic and the expanded two-disc edition of the classic live album, USA.

All albums are pressed on 200gm super-heavyweight vinyl housed in their original sleeves. Details for each box set are as follows.

"Choke" was my immediate reaction in seeing a total of around $310 shipped from Burning Shed.

I have all of these both in the box sets and the individual CD/DVD releases, yet I still want these. What is wrong with me!?!

Same here. My excuse is that the LP versions of Wilson's Yes remixes are now my go-to releases for those albums--even over the DVDs--and I cautiously expect the same with the Crimson LPs.

Meh...I don't really care about Wilson's remixes, let alone owning them on vinyl. The originals are fine to me.

How about we get the original mixes of albums that have never been released on vinyl...Thrak, The ContruKction of Light, and The Power to Believe.

Steven Wilson mixes these albums on a $200.00 App called Logic Pro, a 4K computer, decent but average monitor speakers, a smattering of very affordable plug ins and a mouse, in his house, during his down time. I know - it's the mixer's ears and sensibilities, it's all digital etc, but I find this fact amusing.

I have many of his remixes and like them ok, have seen him live a few times, but this is out of control. Crimson fans you've more than done your part.

was the court of the crimson king picture disc from awhile back not the Wilson remix? I never actually got it but kinda presumed it was. obviously this will sound better regardless. I had actually presumed the series of 200 gram releases they were doing earlier were also Wilson mixes so shows what I know.

in a fit of fanboyism I actually bought the crazy box of Japanese 7" mini vinyl packaging that they did for all these albums a year or so ago so I think I am good on slick packaging for these albums will probably wait on this for a deal maybe or never.

I'm not aware of a 12" LP of In the Court embodying the Wilson remix. I don't know about any picture disc-- I avoid them for sonic reasons.
I have an early Island UK pink label of In the Court that is clean as well as a slightly later UK Island pink rim. The pink label is inherently noisy--aside from the distortion in the tape of "21st Century Schizoid Man." The pink rim is somewhat quieter but is slightly brighter, a little less organic sounding. Given the quiet passages on the album, it is a tough one on vinyl, particularly vinyl of the period. The 2010 re-do (which was not Wilson) on vinyl sounded pretty sterile to me.
The remix on CD/DVD fixes some of the ills of the original- you can hear Greg Lake's voice much more clearly on "Epitaph." It is very recessed on the original mix in my estimation.
Thus, the desire for the Wilson remix of In the Court on LP. Lately, I've been listening to the CD/DVD remix, rather than my original Island pressings, simply because you can hear more. And I'm a pretty hard-core vinyl person.

I'm with you on this. I couldn't care less about any of his remixes. Just not interested. Thrak on vinyl would be something I'd be interested in.
