There was a radio edit that cut off the last 2 minutes. I think the "yeah! someone's safe at home" part is very catchy and could have worked well live.

It's in Ebm instead of Dm, interesting

Not sure on what pages the "Asylum" album is discussed, but I just picked it up on CD used at a music shop, and the songs are much better than I remember them being 30 years ago

I think it's one of their best...sadly hidden under a hideous cover and their tour outfits didn't help either.

So Holly Knight was on Eddie Trunk's podcast and revealed that she not only dated Paul Stanley on and off, but that she played ALL the keyboards on Unmasked. She was a bit confused between Dynasty and Unmasked but ultimately said it was Unmasked and that she got paid $5,000 and still has a copy of the check.

She also said Anton WAS offered the drummer seat but declined as he was loyal to Spider!

Yeah I listened to that interview it was really good. Holly is cool and she has written some huge songs.

And I can totally see why Anton would have made that decision. For one thing he knew he'd only ever be an employee in KISS, and if you look at Spider videos and think of what music was like in 1980 you can see why he thought they had a shot. They could have easily made it big...they just didn't.

It's KISS! It's not like they needed a Marco Minnemann admit it you thought I'd say Bruford.

I reckon that Marco Minneman is Italian for Bill Bruford! :)

I wrote up a thread index - KISS: The Songs 1974-2012

One of the gorts added a link to the first post in the thread too.

I also wish all of the pics and vids were still here. There was some hilarious pics posted that I saw when I did the index.

WoW thanks brother. I really enjoyed that. Especially the surprise ending:bigeek: very groovy indeed. I must have missed it first time ( or I didn't, said the exact same thing and forgot, I've a sneaky suspicion that I'm going senile in my oldness:D)

Right? If I ever attempted to index something this massive & involved I would have suffered an aneurysm. A lot of work @Cheevyjames & I'm sure more appreciated than I could ever articulate. Blessings

What about R&RAN? ( Gods if I never hear that song again I will consider myself blessed. ) That song has to be up there, it's the only KISS song I ever heard on the radio ( agay, wayyy too much) until Beth. With all the great KISS tunes there are, it seems like radio zeroed in the worse....worst? Anyway just my HO

It's funny, it took me longer to organize with all of the spoiler tags and links and all that than it did to actually search through the thread to find the posts! It was a lot of trail and error in organizing it for the post.

Well, all your efforts are really appreciated.

The thread is a fantastic resource of KISS fans (think it would edit down into a fascinating book) and you've managed to make it user-friendly! :righton:

Didn't Jungle chart really high on the Rock Charts? I remember that playing all over K-Rock here in NY back in 1997

I pulled out Smashes Thrashes and Hits today for the first time in years. Are the drums re-recorded on this comp?
