Like the excellent Cherry Red reissues of Kylie’s first 4 albums a few years ago?

    Unfortunately they never did anymore.

I was thinking of a bigger scale then those. I mentioned Bob Dylan earlier and I think he sets the standard for boxsets. His bootleg series has had 14 volumes so far and all include for the most part unreleased tracks. That is probably expecting too much from someone like Kylie. However those Dylan sets are brilliantly packaged with 2 hardback books.

As artists like Kylie and Madonna have careers that are in many ways dominated by their singles, I would love a well packaged boxset of all their singles.

Yes, I’m not a Dylan fan but I remember a huge box he put out a few years ago.

Madonna and Kylie certainly have the mileage to do something similar. Especially the former who has the US market on her side and has basically no reissues worth speaking of.

I’d love for Kylie to do a CD singles box like Girls Aloud and Bananarama with all the glorious remixes included and not like her disappointing anniversary box. Heck, I’d be happy if she continued those big box sets that included remixes and picture discs. :agree:

A lot of the ones on mixKylie are one track promos or freebies. Australia had Dancing Queen and Fever as radio promos for example.

I have been wanting to scoop these up but they have always been so expensive that I just cannot justify them. The LP/CD/DVD sets that I want are always between $80 and $100 and the price never comes down.

If the vinyl wasn't picture discs I would have bought them straight away. I'm still waiting for a deal because I've got all the material many, many times.

Just a note: If anyone here hasn't seen Kylie's recent Glastonbury set yet then it's well worth watching.

1 - Love at First Sight
    2 - I Should Be So Lucky
    3 - On a Night Like This
4 - Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi
5 - Hand On Your Heart
6 - Where the Wild Roses Grow (with Nick Cave)
    7 - Slow (Fashion Version)
8 - Confide in Me (Epic version)
    9 - Kids
10 - Can't Get You Out of My Head (with Chris Martin)
    11 - Especially for You
    12 - Shocked
13 - Step Back in Time
14 - Better The Devil You Know
    15 - Loco-Motion
    16 - All The Lovers
    17 - Dancing
    18 - Spinning Around

An absolutely stellar show. Kylie gave an emotional performance after having to cancel her last Glastonbury set when she was diagnosed with Cancer. She gives one hell of a performance here with a great hits heavy set-list and a really appreciative crowd. It's on BBC iPlayer at the moment and is worth your time.

The only single she missed that I would have loved was What Do I Have to Do? in the little Rhythm of Love set (Shocked, Time, Devil) but it's a great show without it.

I'm still waiting for a Bluray release of the Golden Tour. A Bluray of Anti Tour and White Diamond doc would also be swell.

It would be great. Sadly, I don’t expect it to happen though. :(

There's a seriously good box set which any fan could compile, but record companies don't believe anyone would actually pay for a complete Kylie singles box. It'd be around 5 discs now (and that's just UK/Australian releases).

I’m happy about this. I bought the mint green vinyl edition and was intending to pick up the 2 CD set at some point...now it’s turned into 3 discs for little to no extra money.

It's worth getting the 2CD book edition for the photos of the worldwide picture sleeves, cassingles etc. That was, to me, the pick of the formats.

And there’s a 2 CD plus DVD of her Golden concert coming out. I’m happy about that but I wish it was Blu-ray.

On the other hand, the Back in Time 3 disc set sort of annoyed me when I first saw it last week. How many versions did she push earlier this year and now here’s a bigger and more deluxe version. Talk about milking it. Love ya Kylie but I’m feeling abused.

Aphrodite was a similar situation. There was a straight CD, CD/DVD, vinyl (which goes for over a hundred bucks now), and 3CD tour edition and the so-called Goddess Edition.

I missed the Golden Tour when it hit Australia. I'm hanging out for the DVD. Day of issue purchase.
