Song's kind of lame IMO, but she's great as usual.

Here's a long thread with multiple videos. She gained prominence with a cover of Zeppelin's Good Times Bad Times that even impressed Robert Plant.

She dropped another one ... no fireworks here, but she's about as in the pocket as you can get and seems to be polishing her dynamics.

She's getting physically stronger. I watched this video and then jumped to the Led Zep/Good Times Bad Times video, and you can see she's a bit more fluid now.

She can do it with a band, not just to a recording.

Someone on a drummer forum this was posted at pointed out that if you look at the PIP, she's doing an incredible example of the slide technique on her bass drum pedal.

Her skills at such a young age are jaw dropping ... and she's self taught. Sometimes whatever external force you believe is in control of the universe ... ducking and dodging there, LOL! ... just points a finger at somebody and says "You're it," and I think she's a recipient.

Her drumming here is great! Unfortunately she is not being well served by the band who are all over the place - they're everywhere but in the pocket.

What a mess! And definitely not her fault.

IMO they're paying too much attention to her ... as in gawking at her rather than following her ... and not the business at hand.

I think you're being very kind.

There's no reason why gawking at her would make them play so badly.

What a little cutie. The main thing here though, is she's having fun. It's all over her face. Wonderful.

There's no doubt she's having fun, and it is undoubtedly wonderful. But surely the main thing is that she is absolutely, incredibly, outstandingly and innately talented?

No. No, it isn't. And I'm not arguing her talent. Her natural affinity is, with out a doubt, readily apparent. But, as a parent, I chose my words up top deliberately.

The reason I did so, and the way I did, is because history has (unfortunately) shown, that there were/are parents who *force* their ideas of how and what their child prodigies are to proceed onto the child. Sadly, many of these stories did not end happily for the once young star.

Little Yoyoka is obviously having a great time behind that kit. She's waving at the camera, smiling big-toothed grins before and after her performances, sometimes even during. I hope that helps you understand my point and why I commented as I did. Peace. :righton:

I read you loud and clear.

It’s obvious no one has put a real or metaphorical gun to this kid’s head and is forcing her to do something against her will. And unfortunately there are many parents who do.

The less you put that metaphorical gun to any child's head, the more creative they tend to be on their own.

Yoyoka is back, and this time she is is attempting one of the most difficult songs to play - 'Rosanna' by Toto. Not bad for a 10-year old!
