I was invited to a friend's house to view Knowing, which he'd rented. He was glad he'd only rented it. The film had some amusing moments but it was dumb, dumber, predictable, and the ending that should of faded to black quickly, lasted about 20 minutes. Otherwise, it was g, g, gr, gr, grr, gr-reat, well not exactly.:thumbsdn: Now I'm Knowing not to watch it again!

Knowing does have a subway crash scene that a good workout for the subs. I was playing the movie last week and realized I had my SVS sub turned off (due to vacation) so I turned it back on, replayed the subway scene and......wow...thats some crash!

Unfortuneatly we viewed an Amazon download rental. There was nothing exceptional about the audio. You ought to put your sub on a switch. That standby mode wears down the thang. I flip my subs on via the manual switch on my Panamax. My sub's don't just slumber, they get REM sleep.... ...when I let 'em sleep.

It deserves something worse than just thumbs down, something with a flushing sound would suffice....

I watched the first 2 episodes of season 2 of Torchwood on BD. Those darn time travelers just won't leave Earth alone....

I watched the drama Two Lovers. It's well acted and set in New York City but the story is rather obvious and shallow, for me. It's a decidedly average drama as far as I'm concerned.

I also watched another episode of Torchwood season 2 and several episodes of the History Channel's The Universe.

Just watched the directors cut of Watchmen. I enjoyed it much more than when I saw it in the theater. Now I am off to watch Coraline.

Watched Push last night. Just a load of nonsense in a Heroe's TV show kind of way. The only good thing is it was filmed in Hong Kong. Stars Dakota Fanning and Chris Evans.

    During the afternoon yesterday:

    Gone In 60 Seconds (1974)

Been a long time since I watched this classic. The acting is bad, has a 70's porno vibe of acting quality but the 40 minute chase at the end is just EPIC and as far as I'm concerned makes the movie incredible. I still really like the remake, but the chase alone in this one makes it so much better.

    Then later in the night:

"Dazed And Confused" I love this movie, in my top 5 no doubt. Nothing else really needs to be said.

The Beat That My Heart Skipped and The Assassination of Jesse James. How the latter didn't sweep the boards at the Oscars is beyond me. Even Brad Pitt was good.

I watched two more episodes of Torchwood season 2. I'm half way through the set.
