The gorgeous Something gets the axe as Here Comes The Sun is such a breath of fresh air.

I disagreed with most of the stages of how this poll unfolded but cannot agree with the end. Abbey Road was the only album where the George songs were overall on the same level as the Lennon McCartney songs.

 

The Final Two are obvious choices. I prefer ' Here Comes The Sun ' over the somewhat oversweet ' Something ' but I would much rather have seen other songs make it to this stage.
Oh , well...guess I should have acted earlier and bribed the poll maker.

 

I voted for 'Here Comes the Sun' as least favourite.

'Something' is easily - far and away - the best song George ever wrote. And is one of the 20-best Beatles songs ever written imo, not just among George's Beatle songs, but of all four writers combined.

I voted HCTS but with some context that while Something is, in my opinion, a VERY slightly greater song, HCTS is a better Beatles song.
