"You Like Me Too Much" least favorite Beatles song he wrote and I can still appreciate it. See how that works?
"Roll Over Beethoven" the only Chuck Berry cover I prefer over the orig is the Stones' version of "Carol"

DQ: "Old Brown Shoe" solo comes to mind but I love his playing on "One After 909" too and many others.

Saying Roll Over Beethoven is better than Chuck's would be holding it to a far higher standard than saying it is better than snoozers like Piggies or Blue Jay Way.

Cant imagine George would have ever maintained those were better either.

I think my favorite solo of his is from Till There Was You. Sort of out of style for him but very good. Fun to play too.

You Like Me Too Much (for the 3rd and hopefully final time)
Do You Want To Know A Secret (for the 2nd time-could have been OK if sung by John)

I believe that's Clapton playing the solo on Something.

Love that country twang style on Baby. The Beatles were in a bit of a country sound around this time. I think it had some of George's best work.

'Blue Jay Way' and 'For You Blue' again for the 'win.' And blue is my favorite color! Don't like these songs though.

Before You Like Me Too Much gets voted off I thought I would share a somewhat humorous video I made of this in Feb 2015 with kazoos instead of keys

Do You Want to Know a Secret is going to outlive You Like Me Too Much? Where are the Beatles VI fans??

You've at least gotta love the guitar & piano duet....

You are correct. I was thinking of My Guitar Gently Weeps. (maybe Clapton rubbed off on him) Great solo.

Whichever one I’m listening to at the present time...

    ... justkidding.

    Probably it’s “For Your Blue”

Hard to pick anything else. I even have a soft spot for “I Need You” and “You Like Me Too Much”. Although the second one, is just shy of the border (of too much schmaltz).

I like them all but Piggies is my favourite of the three. Agree about "Roll Over Beethoven" tho it's one of the Beatles better covers. Not sure why it is not more popular.

“You Like Me Too Much” - that song plain stinks!

“I’m Happy Just To Dance With You” - one of the weakest on AHDN.

    Best solo: “Something”.

One more time for "Only A Northern Song" & "You Like Me To Much"

Fave George solo: "Let It Be" (album version)

Honorable mention to "I Saw Her Standing There" & "Hey Bulldog"

I generally like all the songs GH wrote over any of the covers he sang lead on. My favorite George sung cover just might be "Sheik Of Araby" and I also like "Devil In Her Heart", which has already been given the ax here and I'm not surprised. I've no interest in attempting to be objective here, I don't think his songwriting was weak until he finally wrote three good ones like too many others do. "Here Comes the Sun" is only ok to me next to "Blue Jay Way". I can't care if even so called psych heads think it's a poor bore, I've always loved it..:)

That's just wrong on so many levels. How that managed to make Anthology 1 is baffling.
