I'ld say "Legend Of Boggy Creek" needs a more modern remake using the same local type unknown actors and low budget look but shot in 4k HD.

I mean really, how many times have they remade "A Star Is Born".

Ya know, I had never heard of this movie until about 2 weeks ago and it was a random conversation with a neighbor. We were out in the road discussing hurricane damage to the houses on our street. I pointed at one house in particular and mentioned that the house looked un-livable due to the damage. A front wall was completely out and all they have over it is a tarp. I was surprised people were still living/staying there. He said "do you know who that family is?". I said "no, they keep to themselves and I have never met them". He said "Ever hear of a movie called "The Legend Of Boggy Creek"?.... Nope.. Never heard of it. He then went on to explain what the movie was about and said "that family moved here because they were terrorized by Bigfoot".

It scared the crap out of me when I saw it in theater. I had nightmares about it for years afterward.

It’s a cheap, loser film, but I did not know that at the time. I watched it fairly recently, and while it was not remotely scary, I still had a slightly bad vibe when watching it.

If they go back to the original camera negative for the restoration, it'll be as sharp as it can ever get.
