You and all your fancy Luxman :) I have a bit of a red headed step-child of a Luxman that I found at Goodwill ages ago for a whopping $12. It does service as backup when something else is off for repairs.

I love the sweeping tuning direction lights. Looks very cool while it’s trying to find the signal. Not the greatest receiver ever made but nice sounding for what it is. Backup or in one of my play systems. Garage, workshop, sunroom or what have you.

I had the 505u which is now replaced with a l509x.

I was very pleased with it which is also why I bought the 509. The only thing I was missing was a bit more power to run my new and bigger speakers.

I sold it to a friend which is using it with his Sonus Faber Sonetto and the sound is really good.
So good that I am planning on selling my Audiovector speakers and replacing them with Sonus Faber Olympia lll.

Great, as my next question is about comparing the "separate" function between the two.
It separates the pre-amp from the power-amp. Newer generations (uX and X) have it on the remote and it supposedly activates a relay. On the previous U gen. it seems it's a two position on/off button, so my question/concern is does it activate a relay that mutes the sound for a second (good) OR it's a simple button that might develop scratchy or similar contact problems?

I also have an M-2000, paired with a C-1010 and recently picked up a pair of KEF 104/2's. How do you like the combination?

It’s been a wonderful combo. 120 watts from the M-2000 drives the 104/2s just fine as long as you don’t go crazy. Love the big VU meters too.

I just got a 505UX as a retirement gift. Sounds fantastic with my ATC SCM11s.

I like those Standesign audio racks, but I don't think they are sold in Europe. These racks embellishes the gears, who are already top of the design

That's probably the best looking integrated amp I've ever seen. Kind of similar to Accuphase which I also like the looks of.

Sorry - I'm new to this forum - how do you upload a picture? It's asking for an image URL and I don't know what that is.

Great to see a DA-250 and an E-250 in the post above - they were my first Luxman purchases. I've downgraded somewhat to lesser DAC but I love this little combo for a headphone setup.

Yeah, I just meant in terms of the DAC, really - the DA-250 is a fantastic bit of kit. Since this is a Luxman thread, I was wondering if anyone else was surprised they hadn't updated the DA-06 reference DAC? I believe it came out in 2010 or so, and it was really well reviewed (including one by Stereophile's Art Dudley, I think). Kind of strange that after the explosion of streaming they haven't brought out another stand alone flagship DAC.
