I would have made a lousy interior decorator . Not to mention the shade of colour that I see varies between eyes.
I never got the impression that Vanguard, as a midpriced/budget LP label, had ever paid the most attention to design details, color schemes, etc. back in the days ...
A "cutout", with hole punched in upper right corner. Compilation issued in 1976. The pieces on side one were recorded 6/65 & issued on Vanguard VSD-71153. The pieces on side two, with Felix Prohaska conducing the Vienna State Opera Orchestra, were recorded 8/66 and issued on VSD-71170. The original LPs also contained pieces by Mozart & Gluck. Producer: Seymour Solomon. Engineer: Mario Mizzaro. I have all the recordings on 1996 CD reissues.
I still have the following Barclay-Crocker open-reel tape I bought in the early 80's ... @DeepFloyd11, IIRC, you have some LP by the I Solisti Di Zagreb ...
The weekend scraped its belly coming in for a rough and somewhat stressful landing. Trying to beat sleeplessness with a little Arrau Chopin. Interesting to note beyond the "now playing" selection that I'm not the only one who is otherwise leaning pretty heavily on J.S. Bach right now. Even though I was listening to the secular cantatas earlier, there's definitely something about his music that... just sort of works right now. I once explained to someone that Bach's music made me envision geometrical perfection. Cross-sections of Roman columns, snowflakes, etc. There's a sense of order and direction in his work that I find very soothing and inviting. Pretty wild for someone who, if asked, would probably identify first as an experimental rock 'n' roll type. Perhaps the center is needed as a point of return in relation to even the wildest explorations.
Listening to "The Garden of Zephirus" performed by Gothic Voices directed by Christopher Page on Helios. Courtly Songs Of The Early Fifteenth Century
I think they were only distributed by Mark Levinson but carried the Jecklin Float name. In my youth, I almost succumbed to their unusual charms and bought a pair. Luckily, for my street credibility, I ended up buying headphones by BeyerDynamic instead. The DT911's, which I have had for 30 odd years and still think are fantastic

Speaking of Sanderling-this is one of two boxes( on this label) I have in my collection. These Profil boxes are worth seeking out.
Also a Philips recording ( part of a cycle). I researched about Sanderling a couple of years ago. His personal and professional stories are very interesting.
This recording is one of my personal favorites of “The Planets”. Great performance and a sonic spectacular in my opinion.
