The container on this box set was goofy and hard to put on any shelf, but the music is great. At one point, this set was cleared out at $25. I bought a few extra copies to give as gifts.
Can you repost the sketch? Not showing up. Drawing styles are another where I'm better at ID-ing the artist, in contrast to saxophone stylists.
Title track written by Joe Bonner...nice motif and also appears on Joe Bonner’s second Muse lp. Some interesting back stories to the songs here. “Soulfully, I love you”, written by Billy Harper and also recorded on his own Strata East record, Capra Black. We all know “Zoltan” from Larry Young’s Unity record. “Obsequious” is another Larry Young tune.
It's the image that you posted, but I picked one that was sharper. Here are a few alternates, if others could not see it.

No, my friend just did excellent pen and ink portraits of jazz artists. He could toss them off in a few minutes. One evening, I watched him do over 20 of them as he sat at the cash register. He offered one to anyone buying a jazz LP. He became an artist and author and jazz radio host.
I just downloaded once again ‘on the corner’ to my spotify albums to play list. (For the record this was a divine inspirational moment of my own and has nothing to do with any peer pressure from you fu&@ers)

Interesting point. I sometimes wonder if a new music instrument will arrive on the stage. It seems the balance of history and tradition vs the new and unexplored seems to have been won by history and tradition. The piano took a long time comin’ ( wiki claims it was based on a 3rd century BC organ - first keyboard instrument- that remained more or less similar in design until the 14th century Clavichord & Harpsichord ). I just cant imagine a new musical instrument being created that could transform so many genres of music ....

Starting off Independence Day with a bang. 'Blue Train' roars out of the gate as the opening track. And playing it a little loud to drown out the air conditioner next door. More hot weather predicted for today so that means an afternnon of more pool time and more Belgian whites. Nellie, our Aussie, will celebrate by hiding much of the evening indoors, away from the fireworks. Hope everyone celebrating has a safe 4th of July. Interesting. Which dictionary did you find that on ? My on-line dictionary doesn't show anything. Thanks
Amazing album, full of varied sounds, textures, and emotions -- deserving of its "all time great ECM album" status.
