Yep, they just slapped the postage labels directly onto the cover. No wrapping. No outer box. No protection whatsoever. Unbelievable...

 

Silly question - is it damaged?

 

How does the cover sound? Any distortion....

Is this a used LP from a third party seller or a new LP sold by Amazon? If you bought it from a third party seller, was it fulfilled by Amazon?

 

And it's blue not Orange ?!?!

wow..that is a new low for them as far as vinyl delivery.. I note this was in Scotland..

I have never heard of them doing that in the US but who knows.... they use these terrible boxes here and just throw them in...

And of course it's violet, to match the Royal Mail sticker, silly. The regular orange cover would clash.

 

That has happened in America, from Amazon US...it's buried in the archives here, somewhere.

 

My Mogwai Rave Tapes Deluxe edition came exactly the same way months ago, it's not a common occurrence with Amazon UK but it does happen.

You should contact Amazon with pictures.

 

I wonder how many cusswords you could fit into the Return Reason box if you don't use any spaces.

 

Was it damaged? Also, was it sent directly from Amazon or an Amazon third party seller?

 

I had the same happen with the Massive Attack Blue Lines box set and at least one other box set, a Numero one, everything since has been properly packed, maybe it's the time of year and they take on temps for the Christmas rush. Unfortunately in my cases customer services couldn't guarantee they'd send a replacement any differently so I got a refund on Massive Attack and bought it locally, the Numero box was a very good price so I took a chance and the second copy was properly packed.

 

I'm sure I'm not the first person to ask this, but why is Scotty beaming up your pet?

A couple of years ago, I ordered The Who vinyl box set from Amazon.uk, and it was shipped the same way, with just a shipping label slapped on it. Needless to say, it didn't survive the trip to the States intact. One side of the box was completely missing and the records had all fallen out at some point and been haphazardly thrown back in. The post office had put the pieces in a plastic bag with a note saying that was how they received it. How anyone could think that is a good idea is beyond me.
