Yes...it was this guy. And he has a Grammy.

 

STILL can't BELIEVE THAT GUY wrote the liner notes to "Meet The Beatles"!!!!!
You DO learn something new everyday!

 

The man's (stage) name was Angus Scrimm. Might have been nice to note that.

The only weirder news would be if his MTB notes referred to the album as "quite a ball."

For 30 years he wrote liner notes for such artists as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and even the Beatles under the byline Rory Guy — winning the Grammy in 1974 for his notes for “Korngold: The Classic Erich Wolfang Korngold.”

I don't believe I see ANY credit on the Meet the Beatles album cover. Did I miss it ?

 

I know...three of my favorites. All class acts. They all seemed to embrace life and made the most of it.
