" Minnesota " Surfing Song? Whom?

Does anyone here remember a, probably 70s, song titled " Minnesota "? It was, I guess, lyrically about a Minnesotan who finds himself in beach Southern California but decided he had to make his way back to the Land of a Thousand Lakes.
" Minnesota/ gotta find my way back home " is all of the lyrics that I can reliably remember.
I had the song on an early-80s comp double LP of summer/surfing)California songs, issued on the (then-) Columbia-Epic group of labels, the comp LP had a cartoon cover and some generic title like " Summer Fun " or " California USA " or something like that.
I think Roger McGuinn"s " Draggin' " and some Bruce and Terry were among the other artists on this cheapo 20-song double LP - Remember those? comp.
No, it had nothing to do with the Trashmen, Minnesota surf or not. I believe the artist who did this " Minnesota " song was pretty obscure.

BTW, that light house in the clip is Split Rock on Lake Superior about an hour north of Duluth on Hwy 61.
