That's the one that I really want, as it's my personal favorite album by them! Regarding this Headquarters Super Deluxe Edition, it's got a ton of previously unreleased material, but I'm sure that this is mostly for the diehards (like myself), rather than the original Rhino Handmade 3-CD set (which I've had since it's release), which features what I would imagine is the "cream of the crop" material for most fans?
Wow! Lot's of previously unreleased material. I'm happily surprised as I figured that if this set did come out it would mostly be Sessions repackaged.
Davy singing "Until it's time for you to Go", that should be interesting. Very excited about the track listing. Wonder if "Last Thing on my Mind" is the Dolly/Porter song? Interested to see what Andrew posts on Twitter and Facebook about this release. Don't have either so depending on all of you. Is this limited to a certain number?
Disc 1 claim’s it’s Headquarters remixed and doesn’t say it’s previously unreleased. I’m assuming it’s the original Arista CD remastered.
It will be interesting to see what of this they might whittle down for a possible Run Out Groove vinyl release to follow the previous two Monkees albums they’ve put out. Also of note is that it’s says “Remixed” for the first disc, and not “Remastered”, which it most likely is.
I just preordered this so quickly I didn't even think to check when the release date was! Glad to see it's sooner rather than later, though. So, so psyched for this.
69 previously unreleased tracks. Holy mackerel! This release + Sessions makes for an unbelievable overview of this fantastic album. So glad it's coming so soon too. I seem to recall waiting quite a while for some of the previous ones. And yes, my thoughts exactly
The original Arista CD was a remix. It's possible this is using the same remix, but remastered. Andrew has mentioned a fondness for that remix before. And yes, I'm hoping for a Run Out Groove Headquarters all analog stereo release like the first two. They are phenomenal!
