The original pressing of Hendrix BOG (1970)

The bass will rumble your neighbors house...

Even on a Silvertone it thundered loud

    Any Phil Lesh &

Pre-1950 Black Swing & Jump bands, those mono mixes of acoustic basses boom & thump like your in the studio during recording

Here’s another one: Johnny Winter’s “I Hate Everybody” on my 1A/1A/1A Columbia 2-eye pressing of Second Winter. Oh my!

If you turn this up (even using this video) on a system that can go low it'll shake the walls.

Jennifer Warnes‘ „Way Down Deep“ from „The Hunter“. The sub will probably inhale your cat, if you‘re not careful.

You are not joking. Today in the car I listened to the "Firth of Fifth (live at the Rainbow '73)" and was blown away by that bass; it was the first time I had listened to that song in this car (which has a better stereo than my last one). Holy megahertz.

I don't think trip hop/electronic counts as rock but it's worth mentioning Massive Attack "Mezzanine", truly a test record for bass response

Yeah, that maelstrom of sound at the end of the song will do your speakers in if your not careful.

That bass takes a serious fall in Nilsson's JITF.
