Motown experts: question about "Joined Together"

    Just bought the Supremes/Temptations "Joined Together" CD, and I'm confused -- is the mono mix of "The Weight" the single mix? It simply says "mono mix" on the back cover, but the liner notes say "Previously unreleased alternate mix."

    If that's not the single mix, anyone know where I can find "The Weight" in its mono single version?

    Weird thing about that is my 45 is Stereo,not marked & none of the other Motown 45s from that period are.Even the b-side is mono!
