Ray Majors has passed away

Guitarist Ray Majors has passed away together with his partner Sandy Dillon. Ray played guitar with Hackensack before playing with MOTT from 1975 to 1976 and British Lions from 1977 to 1978. My thoughts are with Ray's and Sandy's families at this difficult time.

I've only just found this out, while searching for a Sandy Dillon video on YouTube to post to a 6Music FB group. I'm devastated by this. I saw Sandy performing in London a couple of times and was bowled over by her idiosyncratic energy and sheer sense of theatre. Her Pull the String album was one of my top choices for that year, and I thought she was just wonderful. They will both be missed.
