I'm not one that can watch most movies more than once--one viewing is enough for me in most cases.

There are a few I can watch again and again. Watched Blade Runner 2049 with my Dad while visiting for X-Mas, he had never seen it (it was at least my 3rd viewing), and it's got me wanting to watch the "Final Cut" of the original Blade Runner again tonight* (which I've seen, along with the "Director's Cut", probably a dozen and half times).

Another I watch every year on Halloween is John Carpenter's original The Fog--not a film that's overly scary or terrifying, just eerie and creepy, and I love the setting and story.

What are some of the films you can watch over and over and keep coming back for more?

*Also seems fitting to watch considering the concept designer of both films, Syd Mead, passed away today. RIP

I have watched the Shawshank Redemption, the Shining, Alien and Aliens countless times. I don't think they're the best thing I've ever seen (although they are all excellent movies). I guess I just like how the story unfolds.

I've seen Pulp Fiction many times. Quentin Tarantino dubbed it a "hang out movie" where you watch just spend time with the characters. I think The Shawshank Redemption is a lot like that, that you're not so much invested in the story as you are the characters like Andy and Red.

Any musical movies - I'm old & I grew up with the classics.
Any Hayley Mills movie - She's my favorite Disney actress & I want all her movies.
Alita: Battle Angel - This is such an awesome movie & I urge everyone to see it. Yes, it's that good!

    Back to the future

When I happen on either of these I always tell myself I'll just watch a little or wait until a favorite scene happens, but I always end up watching the whole thing.

The Godfather films are the most rewatchable films of all time, to me. Acting, production, human drama, history, and some nice action. Classy, magnificent films.

My wife and I dumped TV in 1997. We survived on DVD's and Blue Ray's. We have a couple hundred. We bought most of them at pawn shops or used in some other way. The list of movies I HAVE watched many times is long. The number one title would be That Thing You Do. It's my desert island movie. It is just plain fun, it is something I can relate to (I've been in over a dozen bands), and it's very "light" regarding the drama.

The rest that we've seen over 5 times (if not ten):

All the Meg Ryan romance films (e.g. When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, etc.)
    Steel Magnolias
All of the Back to the Future movies.
    The Big Lebowski
    Pulp Fiction
    All of the Cars movies
    All of the Shreck movies
All of the Toy Story movies
    Hairspray
All of the Daniel Craig 007 movies
    Red
    Red II
    Expendables II
    13 Going on 30
    Christmas Vacation
    A Christmas Story
    It's a Wonderful Life
    White Christmas
Star Wars (the first one released)
A lot more that escape me at this point. The above list is just off the top of my head.

Second place, steak knives. Third place, YOU'RE FIRED!
That movie is a true classic - and quite depressing. I used to sell Kirby Vacuum cleaners and before that, I sold Fuller Brush door to door. And then real estate. I really felt those guys' pain.

Three days of the condor is a CLASSIC! It is a "curl up on a rainy saturday with a cup of coffee and a blanket" movie.

From my perspective, some movies are true masterpieces, but don't really lend themselves to repeat watching. Others, just the opposite. I can watch That Thing You Do over and over, even though I admit it is a very simple movie. Meanwhile, I only needed to see Shawshank Redemption once, though I did enjoy it the second time, a decade or more later.

I'm getting pretty old (I"m 66) and looking forward to dementia. I'll only have to own one movie. :)

I saw that movie, and loved it - until the end. I had the same experience at the end as I had with Maze Runner, though it is much better than the latter.

The problem? It didn't end. It might as well have said, "to be continued". Great movie up to that point, though. When a movie presents a bunch of riddles and questions, and then never answers them, I consider that either very lazy, or I feel like they sucked me into a "cliffhanger". I don't do cliffhangers. It's why I don't care for so many of the television shows on Amazon Prime. Each episode must be a story on its own with a beginning and an end. An ongoing backstory is fine, but there needs to be an up-front story that comes to an end.

I have watched many movies many times but ' The Great Escape ' is the one I have watched the most often.
Watched it as a kid , watched it as a teen, watched it as an adult...I may even watch it today. I never tire of it.
