Multi-Channel Analog Thru on A/V receivers

Just wondering how common this is, because if I do get a multi-channel setup someday, I don't wan't my SACD/DVD-A analog signal going through yet another generation of A/D>D/A, even if I can't hear it. Anybody know of some current model A/V receivers that allow multi-channel inputs to pass through in analog to the amps? Thanks.

 

That's a good question. I know of a number of receivers with 5.1 inputs, but I have no idea if they convert to digital.

And what about tuner-preamps with 5.1 in/out (for a reasonable price)?
